Continuing with my book analogy, I’m going to look at today’s Google algorithm topic - unique content - from the perspective of someone reading a traditional publication as opposed to a website.

How many books would you read if the author was simply rehashing and regurgitating what other people have already said?  How many times would you read the same story over and over again (and I’m not talking about literally reading the same story again because you like it)?

When you were in school, what was the one thing that would also get you failed out of an English class?  Plagiarism.  You were required to put your own spin and your own take on other people’s work or you suffered.

Don’t you think the same principles apply online?
