The Official Google Video Blog brings news of additions to Google Video that make commenting and tracking even easier than before.  When users add comments to videos that include timestamps, Google Video will automatically hyperlink the time.  This lets others who read the comment click the timestamp and immediately jump to that part of the video.

In addition, new stats are included in the report for each video.  Besides offering a chart that lets you graphically track video views, watching statistics are now broken up to show how many times the video was emailed and how many times it was embedded into another website.

If you're considering using video as advertising, it would be wise to keep these new features in mind.  Better stat tracking can help you develop videos that are more suited for the type of viewing your customers are participating in.  Timestamping will allow people the ability to highlight certain parts of videos that they find most interesting.  By following these comments and monitoring which part of a video is the most popular, you can better decide how to create future videos.
