As blogging continues to become more mainstream, and blogging sources continue to gain credibility, finding ways to use the virtually endless amount of blog content will become more important to businesses. To that end, The Austin Business Journal reported earlier this week that Pluck, a blog syndication service, and Reuters had signed an agreement in which the international news source agreed to invest $7 million into the Austin-based blog syndicator. In return for its investment, Reuters will use Plucks BlogBurst technology to send third-party blog content along with its news stories. The deal accents Reuters attempt to incorporate new digital forms of media into its traditional wire-based news service. I doubt this is the last we've heard of blog content being incorporated into traditional hard news. More and more frequently, blogs are becoming a primary source of media coverage and commentary. While the majority of blogs don't break stories, many of them help traditional news outlets spread their stories quickly across the world. Is blogging part of your marketing strategy? How do you plan on incorporating blogging into your existing infrastructure?
