Exactly one week ago today, Google updated its Google Apps for Your Domain and Google Apps for Education programs. Google Apps offer companies and schools the ability to roll out web-based applications built by Google but custom branded by said company or school. Included in both sets of tools is Google Page Creator, the code-free way to build webpages online. Today Google announced an updated version of Google Page Creator with three new tools aimed at bringing more power to the application without much complexity. 1) Inline Image Editing: This new features allows users to edit images after they've been uploaded to Google and/or placed into the website. And the editing abilities aren't too shabby either. Users can crop, rotate, lighten, darken, and apply effects all from within the Google Page Creator. 2) Multiple Pages: Instead of locking users into one address based on their Google account name, Page Creator now allows you to create more than one page at googlepages.com. More than one translates to five URLs maximum, but the added feature makes having a "business" page and "personal" page possible with the same account. 3) Automatic Mobile: What did I say about mobilzing your website? It was about 30 minutes ago so you should remember. That's right… I said it would behoove all website owners to have a mobile version of their webpage. Google Page Creator now does that for its users… automatically. Any page created now has a mobile version created as well. Now that's simple power. Don't forget my prediction about Google Apps for Your Domain, Google Apps for Education, and pages made with Google Page Creator. As Google continues to add features and functionality to their tools, more and more people will be drawn to them. Page Creator is one of those tools. Keep an eye on it or, if you're in need of your own website, give it a try!
