If troubleshooting your Google AdWords account has ever caused you headaches, Google may have just the pill for you.  Responding to user feedback about the ills of trying to figure out why an ad isn't showing up for a particular keyword, Google released a new tool for AdWords users.

The newly updated Ads Diagnostic Tool places a magnifying glass next to each keyword and, when clicked, shows an immediate diagnostic of the keyword's performance.  If problems are found, users can then click the "What can I do now" link to find helpful troubleshooting ideas.

Additionally, the Diagnostic Tool has been updated to give you the option of running tests on geographically specific keywords and previewing your ad in the search results page without creating an impression.

With these updates, Google AdWords becomes easier to troubleshoot and tweak.  The ability to find out why keywords are under performing is huge.  It eliminates some of the guess work of targeted search advertising and offers you the ability to more directly control how your ads are displayed.

Go… run now… check your keywords.  And now with Google's help, increase the performance of all your keywords.
