If you're one of the thousands of attendees at any number of internet conferences across the globe, you're bound to run into the same people from time to time.  Some folks attend the same conference(s) every year.  And I'm pretty sure some of them do little else beside show hop.

Companies and organizations with exhibits or presentation often send the same people to shows.  If you're a frequent conference attender I'm sure you've bumped into some of the same company representatives as well.  Familiar faces are a great networking opportunity and offer the chance to ask those burning questions you've just been dying to get answered directly from the source.

If you're poking around the Google exhibit, one of those faces might turn out to be current Google Base Employee Spotlight Elizabeth Brigham.  Ms. Brigham has been with Google for a couple of years now and spends her time at work handling feedback from Base users.  And she's got a tip for all the Google Base users out there:  start small when it comes to using the bulk upload feature… until you get the hang of it, that is.

Knowing a little about the employees of the companies we work with in the industry is helpful because it 1) makes the companies a little more human and 2) gives you a good starting place for conversations at conferences and shows.  And if you're like most people, having a good conversation starter makes walking up to a total stranger much easier.

So if you happen to run into Elizabeth at your next conference, be sure to get some music buying advice for your next iTunes shopping spree.
