The team behind Google Finance has been hard at work improving, among other things, the homepage to show a more detailed glance at the financial world.  Included in the new homepage are lists of top movers (both "Gainers" and Losers"), sector summaries, market summaries, and related news articles.

In addition, charts and history have been improved to include 40 years of information for U.S. stocks, import features have been upgraded to allow the importing of portfolio information from other financial services, and a new module for the personalized start page gives you the ability to view a snapshot of your Google Financial information easier.
