The Coca-Cola Company and YouTube are partnering to offer video greetings this holiday season. In what the soft drink giant says is a first, users of both YouTube and Coca-Cola's webites will be able to personalize and send pre-recorded or uploaded video greetings. Users can upload their own greetings or use some recorded by YouTube 'celebrities' for the promotion. The promotion is part of a general shift in Coca-Cola's online offerings which feature more user-created content. While the company is still learning, it told ClickZ that user-created content is something the company plans to expand on. Do I need to explain why this is newsworthy? Do you really need me to lay it out there again? Just look into it: Online video.
