AdWords users will have some new APIs to look forward to in early Q1 2007, Google said yesterday. The new APIs, which Google is calling V8 (for version 8), are currently in "sneak peak" form at the AdWords Sandbox. The V8 functionality is only available in the Sandbox. Google says that calls to V8 functions in live services will not work. Visit the Google AdWords Sandbox for more information and to give the new functions a try. Users can change the version of APIs that they're working with by clicking the associated API version in the upper right corner of the page. When V8 is released, users of version 7 will now have 4 months of continued support instead of the 2 months previously offered. After 4 months, old APIs will be shut off. If you haven't moved to version 7 yet, you have until March 12 before the old APIs are shut off.
