Just in time for the holiday madness… er… I mean great holiday times spent with family and friends… Google has added several new features to its Picasa Web Albums service.  The big news is that users can now order prints from albums.  Other services have offered this for a while so I'm glad to see Google finally make it available.  The service currently uses Shutterfly and PhotoWorks for prints and products, but Google says more partners are coming.

In addition to print ordering, Picasa Web Albums can now include videos.  Users can upload videos in much the same way a photo is uploaded to the service.  Google has also added search abilities to the web albums allowing you to search your own photos and the public photos of other users.  Captions, album titles, and album descriptions are included in the search.
