I guess Google wasn't kidding when they decided to get into the real estate listing industry.  Not only did they create a special page  for real estate professionals interested in using Google Base, but they've also been working with the Houston Association of Realtors to add its entire set of listings to Base.

Back in early November Google wrote that it had simplified the process  of adding real estate listings to Google Base.  And yesterday the Google Base Blog made yet another offer to the real estate industry by asking realtors and developers to contact the search company about ways to work together with Google Base.  The Base team has create custom sign-in pages and the Base API allows realtors to embed the upload tools directly into their current listing software.

It really seems like Google is repeatedly trying to push into real estate.  This is the third time I've written about Google Base and real estate in less than two months.  In a previous report, I mentioned that Curbed LA seems to think Google is up to something in the real estate arena, but that it is currently trying to keep that "something" a secret.

It should be interesting to see where Google is going with this.  If you're in the real estate business, it might not be a bad idea to contact Google to see what kind of collaborating they're looking for.  The ground floor is often the best time to get in on new initiatives.  Drop them a line and let the rest of us know what's going on!
