Internet Marketing Monitor

Last week we solicited feedback about the site from the PayPerPost blogging community.  One of the common themes that we saw in the reviews dealt with the look of the Internet Marketing Monitor.  Most reviewers didn't like the look of the site or considered it "boring".  As we've said in the past, soliciting feedback does no good if you ignore it.  The people spoke… and we listened.

You'll notice a new look around here.  The most noticeable difference is the color scheme.  Oranges… blues… much brighter, don't you think?  The fonts have all be updated and we think they're much better.  Navigation has been simplified as well, with the most prominent features of the site listed on tabs running across the top of the page.  Featured or special content, like WordPress plugins and our Conference/Show Listing, can be found at the top of the sidebar.  The actual page structure of the site was also redesigned.  I'm pretty sure we've fixed all the linkage, but if you run across a link that doesn't work please let us know.

To-Do List:

  1. A logo.  Yes… we're going to have a new logo.  Well, I shouldn't say "new".  We never had one.  But we're getting one!
  2. A favicon.  You know… the little icon that shows up in the address bar of your web browser.  Yeah.  We're getting one of those too.
  3. A few little touches are still missing from the new design, like the breadcrumb navigation trail.  We'll be putting all that stuff back on shortly.
  4. A few little glitches probably remain.  We are actively scouring the site to find and fix as many as possible.  Let us know if you find any that we've missed!

What do you think of the new look?  And, as always, be honest.  We'd really love some feedback on the new look.
