Phonemag has a couple of stories of interest to those following the mobile internet wars:

Google & Samsung

Google and Samsung have announced a partnership to include specialized version of several key Google products on select Samsung mobile phones.  The Google-equipped Samsung phones will include a Google icon in the applications menu that will give users one-click access to Google search from their phones.  In addition, Samsung will bundle Google Maps for Mobile and Gmail for Mobile on select phones.  Google Maps for Mobile gives users access to addresses, street maps, satellite imagery, and driving directions straight from the phone.  Gmail for Mobile is faster, mobile-friendly version of Gmail especially created for phones.
