I ran across a rather funny discussion going on at Fark.com about some crazy Google Maps directions. Apparently, a certain trip from Pennsylvania to New Jersey that covers 37.4 miles returned a list of directions that included over 200 U-Turns. Sadly, Google has since fixed the issue so we can't all go laugh anymore. But Search Engine Roundtable has a partial screenshot showing 30 of the steps Google suggested before the problem was fixed. The moral of the story: check with a couple of different sources before planning any trip using online directions. 'Cause let's face it… who wants to spend an hour making 200 U-Turns?
