You're familiar with Google's OneBoxes, right?  Just in case, a OneBox is that special little set of links that appears at the top of some search results.  Most often they appear for searches that Google thinks might be a product search.  For example, a search for "buy blank cds" returns a OneBox with links to different places online to purchase blank cds.

I ran across a new blog called The OneBoxer that deals exclusively with optimizing and taking advantage of Google OneBoxes.  The author, Brian Mark, used Froogle and Google Base to raise the online profits of one company to over $1 million a year.  Mark decided to create The OneBoxer to share what he's learned while building the business.

It's a great site with a lot of great ideas.  Some of the information comes in the form of podcasts while the rest is in traditional print format.  The site is still new but there's already more than enough information to get anyone started with Froogle, Google Base, and the OneBox.

I think what you missed is that we had $1M in sales from just OneBox - which was around 10% of our online sales last year. That’s quite a bit different than $1M in profits.

Still, most online stores fall short of that $1M/year mark, so this could certainly be big for them, and I’m glad you’re liking what you’ve seen so far.

Thanks for the clarification Brian. I guess I just misread something. Congrats on the success, by the way. It’s quite an accomplishment.
