Even if you haven't noticed it anywhere yet, you should have heard about a feature Google has been testing called Click-to-Call. In a nutshell, Click-to-Call allows web users to click an icon next to a business' phone number in an ad and have the call completed by Google. Your phone rings and when you answer it, the business is being called too. According to Justin Uberti, a Google employee in Washington, Google has been testing the Click-to-Call feature in the results of Google Maps searches. This is certainly a development to keep track of and it seems like an excellent way to put Click-to-Call to work. If your business does well over the phone this could be a huge boon for business. It'd be foolish not to take advantage of the option to allow customers to call your business simply by clicking a button. I'll keep an eye on this one and see where it goes. And don't worry… I'll share when something new develops.
