Last week Google made some small changes to how AdWords are displayed. We briefly mentioned them in a Headlines of Note post on Thursday. But today I wanted to highlight the fact that this is an example of Google doing something positive for the advertiser. I've called Google out a number of times for not doing enough for their advertiser network. By making the AdWords ads that appear above search results yellow they are better highlighting those ads. And by making only the link inside the Sponsored box clickable - instead of the entire box - they're making accidental clicks less frequent. I like that change a lot. I've accidental clicked inside that box once in a while myself. And I know I'm not the only one. If you multiply those accidents by 400 million that equals a lot of accidental clicks that advertisers are being charged for. Kudos to Google for making taking a proactive approach to this. - Matt
