At times it might appear that I don't like Google. In truth, the exact opposite is true. I do like Google. It's because I like them that I follow more of their developments than some other companies (not to mention the fact that they do a lot of things that I like to talk about). Google is also unique in that they have a published list of 10 "commandments". To my knowledge, they are unique in that regard. Because of this, I hold them to a higher standard that a lot of other companies. In short… I hold them to their stated standards. That's why Google CEO Eric Schmidt's recent comments about anti-piracy tools in the works caught my attention. According to a variety of reports, the tool - called "Claim Your Content" - makes it easier for content owners to 'claim' ownership of content on YouTube. I'll keep my response to that tool (and Schmidt's comments) really short: The issue I see is that Google is putting the burden of copyright control off on the copyright holder. That's all I'm going to say. I think you can figure out the problem. - Matt
