Google Maps revolutionized the way people thought about looking at the world. With detailed satellite overlays, users could see much more than streets and highways. Based on the same set of images and technology, Google Earth is downloadable application that allows people to view the entire Earth in amazing detail. With the help of the European Space Agency, Google is taking its pictorial representation of Earth one step further. The ESA has created an add-on, or layer, for Google Earth that allows users to view spectacular images (see below) of the Earth from within the Google Earth application.
Information from Google Maps, including business locations, phone numbers, and websites is available from Google Earth. With the addition of this and other Google Earth add-ons, it's more important than ever to check your Google listings to make sure the information is accurate. When users see the awesome abilities of Google Earth they're going to want to get it. For more information on Google Earth, or to download the application, visit the Google Earth homepage. To find exciting new layers for the application, visit the Google Earth Blog.
