I wrote yesterday about an experiment the Marketing Experiment Journal conducted in regard to the advertising potential of video.  The experiment turned out to be wholly successful - it was cheaper than a comparatively successful PPC campaign.

The Google CPG Blog (that's consumer packaged goods) has another example of video being used as an advertising technique.  Before I continue, have a look at the video:

According to Google CPG, the video has been posted to 179 blogs, been viewed over 400,000 times on one posting to Google Video (there are apparently several postings), and been posted to YouTube.  I think it's safe to say it's probably been viewed over half a million times.

It's 40 seconds long.  It doesn't use any flashy graphics or fancy effects.  It's simple and hilarious.  It's something all of us could do.  Start sinking about how you can harness the growing power of video for your site.
