The Internet Marketing Monitor is pleased to announce the release of our third WordPress plug-in: IMM-Meta-Tags. Meta tagging a WordPress-powered site is no simple feat. We first tackled the issue of keyword meta tags with IMM-Keywords. IMM-Keywords lets you apply keyword meta tags to your posts without having to edit any code or templates. But then we realized that keywords weren’t the only meta tags people might want to edit and decided to take the simple approach to meta tagging that makes IMM-Keyword unique and apply it to all meta tags. The result is IMM-Meta-Tags. So which meta tags are handled by IMM-Meta-Tags you ask? Quite simply… just about all of them:
Did you get all of that? But what if you don’t want to include certain meta tags in your site? Not a problem! Each and every meta tag is not only customizable in it’s value, but can also be turned on and off with the click of a mouse. You pick the meta tags you want to use. You pick the value of those tags. IMM-Meta Tags does the rest. Post and/or page-specific meta tags (such as author, description, keywords, etc) can be assigned default values or customized on a per-post basis. You can write your own descriptions or you can tell the plug-in create an excerpt of the first words of your post to serve as the description (and yes… the number of words to use is customizable). Just like with the IMM-Keywords plug-in, there is no coding or template editing required to set your meta tags. The plug-in does all of the hard work for you. Customizable tags show up in the WordPress Write Post/Page admin so you don’t have to mess with custom fields, either. It really doesn’t get more simple or more complete than this! So if you’re ready to tag your site to the extreme, give IMM-Meta Tags a look. Note: IMM-Meta Tags and IMM-Keywords can not run at the same time. Please disable other meta tagging plug-ins before activating IMM-Meta tags to avoid any conflicts.
